Wi-Fi where you need it.
We solve Wi-Fi problems in rural Georgia.
A fast fiber connection is only useful if it reaches the places where you live, work, and spend your time. Many homeowners struggle with weak Wi-Fi in metal shops, detached garages, barns, home offices, and outdoor areas where traditional routers simply can’t provide reliable coverage. At GTC, we specialize in extending connectivity beyond the house with customized solutions designed for rural properties, helping ensure your devices, security cameras, smart equipment, and family stay connected wherever you need internet access.

F.A.Q.s
Have Questions About Custom WiFi?
We’ve got answers.
GTCFiber’s Custom WiFi is built differently—designed for real homes, businesses, outdoor spaces, metal buildings, and rural properties where standard mesh systems fall short. Whether you’re curious about how it works, what’s included, or why it’s better than plug-in pucks, our FAQ has you covered.
Explore the most common questions below and discover why more customers are choosing WiFi that’s engineered—not improvised.
How is this different from a regular mesh WiFi system like Plume or Eero?
Unlike plug-and-play mesh systems that rely on signal-hopping between pucks (often losing speed along the way), GTC Custom WiFi is a professionally designed network tailored to your space. We use wired backhaul and strategic access point placement to deliver stronger, faster, and more reliable coverage—no performance drop-offs.
What equipment do you use?
We use trusted, enterprise-grade gear from Ubiquiti, TP-Link Omada, and Calix, depending on your specific layout and usage needs. Our goal is to match the right equipment to your environment—not force a one-size-fits-all solution.
Do I need a big house or business to benefit from Custom WiFi?
Not at all. Custom WiFi is ideal for homes of all sizes, outbuildings, workshops, pools, porches, metal buildings, or rural properties where typical WiFi struggles. If you have unique coverage needs, we’re the right fit.
What’s included in the free site survey?
A certified GTCFiber technician will visit your home or business to evaluate layout, wall construction, interference sources, and use cases. From there, we design a custom network map with ideal equipment placement and pricing.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. With GTC Custom WiFi, you purchase and own the equipment outright—no rentals, no ongoing fees. Your system is professionally installed and configured for your property, and if you ever need service, our local team is here to help.
Will a regular Wi-Fi extender work in my shop / office
Sometimes, but metal buildings and distance often require a better solution like a wired access point or wireless bridge.
Can you get Wi-Fi to a detached building without trenching?
Often, yes. Outdoor wireless bridges can connect buildings without burying cable, depending on distance and line of sight.
Can you connect security cameras?
Yes. We can install cabling or connectivity for many camera locations.
Do I have to buy equipment from GTC?
No. We can work with customer-supplied equipment, but GTC-provided equipment is recommended when you want a supported solution.
